Inspired Pumpkin Painting: Discover the secrets of watercolor techniques as you bring pumpkins to life on canvas. From unexpected colors hues to dimensional shading, learn how to create stunning, lifelike pumpkins that capture the essence of fall.

Expert Guidance: Instructor Emily Bourassa is a Rhode Island School of Design trained artist specializing in Natural Science Illustration. She will guide you step-by-step, providing personalized feedback and tips tailored to your skill level. This class is perfect for all skill levels, with sketches provided for transfer so you can simply focus on painting skills, rather than stressing over the drawings. Emily works in a way that is unique for watercolor artists, so even if you are very experienced with painting, you can explore a new technique.

Date and Time: Saturday, October 28th, 10am-11:30 PST Class will meet 10 minutes early for a meet and greet.

Let’s paint together!

Suggested materials:

Watercolor Paints (I usually use a mix of primary colors and earth tones. Any brand will do, but best results come from professional grade pigments) I will be demonstrating with Blockx Watercolor Pans

White Watercolor/Ink/Gouache (My favorite is Kuretake Zig Cartoonist White Ink)

Pencil (HB style) & Eraser

Watercolor Paper (100% cotton Cold Press is my favorite)

Water

Paper Towels

Paint brushes (A larger brush and a smaller brush, a round size 8 & size 2 are ideal)

Not necessary, but printouts of provided sketches & Saral graphite transfer paper to transfer sketches onto watercolor paper. Not to worry if you don’t have this, I will show you how to transfer without it.

Frequently asked questions
