`While the data shows that teachers and school-leaders are not following the trends of ‘the great resignation’, leaving their schools, there is an overwhelming feeling in education of ‘misunderstood’, ‘under-appreciated’, and ‘undervalued’. When it comes to changing those feelings, the value of school culture cannot be understated. Simply put, people choose to stay or leave, to engage or disengage, to show grit or to quit, because of their leaders and the culture they set. In this session we will cover how school leaders, teachers, and even students can create a ‘culture of leadership’.
By first becoming the leader the people around them need, and then creating a ripple effect of positive change that flows outward through others into the community, we can return our schools to the ‘heart of the community’. Attendees will leave inspired, recharged, and armed with practical tools to grow themselves as leaders, and to help others do the same.
