This event is specially geared toward creatives seeking a moment of respite from their bustling lives. Immerse yourself in the healing vibrations of a 528Hz Singing Bowl known for its power to restore balance and promote inner harmony, as it blends with a curated jazz mix.
Whether you’re an artist, writer, musician, or simply a creative soul seeking rejuvenation, this experience will reset your nervous system and replenish your creative well by drawing attention back to your inner self.
When grounded and free from blocks, the connection to your source will be clearer, and your creative energy will be in flow.
How to Prepare: Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. You may position yourself in whatever way makes you feel the most comfortable, laying down on a yoga mat, your floor, sofa, or bed. Have water, pillows, and a blanket nearby. Feel free to further curate your space in a way that will best support your relaxation journey. This may include lighting incense or candles, dimming the lights, incorporating crystals and essential oils, or even keeping a journal nearby to document your feelings before and after the experience. Earbuds or headphones are recommended for an optimal sound immersion experience. Set Zoom audio to “Original Sound for Musicians: On.”
Doors will open at 7:50 pm EST and close at 8:00pm EST to avoid interruptions. I’ll start with a short guided meditation to relax the mind and body and gently lead into the sound bath experience.
The Use of Sound in Relaxation
Sound has been utilized in healing traditions across the globe for centuries, offering a means to induce relaxation in both the mind and body.
The use of this modality is rooted in the concept that everything within the universe resonates at a distinct frequency, including bodily organs, thoughts, and emotions. According to Dr. David R. Hawkins’s emotional frequency chart, certain emotions such as shame, guilt, and fear exhibit lower vibrations. In contrast, love, joy, and peace are thought to vibrate much higher.
During periods of internal disharmony, sound waves and vibrations can be used to harmonize or elevate frequencies. When the body perceives a specific sound, it synchronizes its vibration to match that of the sound.
Additionally, the brain is comprised of countless neurons. These neurons engage in communication through electrical impulses called brainwaves. Brain waves are quantified in hertz (Hz) or cycles per second. The frequency of brainwaves determines our current state, ranging from deep sleep to heightened activity.
Sound therapy and relaxation techniques anchored in sound can induce shifts in brainwave patterns over time, which fosters stress reduction and anxiety alleviation and can even help facilitate sleep.
