REMOTE Senior Engineer- Front End – Nu Skin Enterprises – Remote

Mavely is a social e-commerce platform that rewards users with cash for discovering, shopping and sharing products with each other. We are solving the rising cost of customer acquisition for new brands while driving product discovery and additional income for everyday families. 

Mavely was recently acquired by Rhyz, the strategic investment arm of Enterprises, backing us with significant resources to continue to grow and scale in the social commerce space. 

We’re looking for an engineer who will improve themselves and the team by learning new skills and sharing their knowledge with others. Someone who can create a better product by voicing their opinions on how and why we do what we do, and use insights from data to make product and technical decisions, to help grow Mavely. We are a closely connected and hard working team, that values culture and fit above anything else.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Development of new features for Mavely Mobile App & Component Ecosystem and/or Mavely API.

• Development of assisted systems for the Mavely Mobile App & Component Ecosystem.

• Contribution to dev ops planning/estimates/delivery.

• Willingness to learn/grow/adapt to necessary technologies and working methodology of a start up.

Required:

• React Native Mobile Development (+ animation experience)

• Experience working with NodeJS / GraphQL / Apollo

• Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases; the ability to write efficient queries and benchmark/profile them

• Mastery of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS/SASS/StyledComponents

• Experience working in Typescript

• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming

• Experience with performance debugging and benchmarking

• Experience with testing frameworks like karma, mocha, or jest

• Experience with Agile methodologies

• Understanding of CI/CD

• Strong attention to design detail (UI/UX)

• Strong communication skills
