Java Software Engineer with GraphQL – LTIMindtree – Plano, TX

Role: Sr Java Developer (with GraphQL)

Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java Spring applications, mainly GraphQL queries, mutations, and subscriptions, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

• Collaborate with software architects, developers, and product managers to define technical requirements, design specifications, and project milestones.

• Develop RESTful services that adhere to industry best practices and coding standards, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.

• Utilize messaging technologies such as MQTT brokers and Kafka to enable efficient communication between distributed components and microservices.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, proper design patterns, and adherence to coding standards.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of software engineering principles and apply them to the development process.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, while adhering to code coverage goals and continuous integration practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.

• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies and assess their potential applicability to our projects.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

• Contribute to the overall improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.

• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for deployment and monitoring.

• Prior experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
