Over the course of the next few months, Calcul Quebec will be setting up their new universal quantum computer, MonarQ. Participate in this workshop to understand the basic theory of quantum computing, circuits and algorithms.

• Non-academic participant : $200

No prior knowledge is required

Course plan

• What is a qubit and quantum computing?
• Types of quantum computers
• Introduction to quantum computing: Manipulation of qubits; Interference, superposition and entanglement; Quantum algorithms and circuits.

Technical prerequisites

We will use the Zoom platform. Because this event is a practical workshop, it is very useful having a secondary screen where you would get the instructor window on one screen and your own window on your main screen.

We will use the Jupyter Lab interface. Make sure you have a modern Web browser like Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari.
