Bad Experiences At Networking Events
Have you ever said to yourself, I am going to go to this networking event, and I am going to make it my duty to connect and build relationships with everyone I meet. You get there and a wave of awkwardness rushes over you, so you either stand at one table, designated as base camp, like a statue, and occasionally tip-toe around the room as you try your hardest not to set off the landmines of uncomfortableness. With a painted-on smile, you desperately hope someone would make eye contact and invite you in for a conversation. You circle the room and get back to your table and not one person provided a social cue needed to strike up a conversation. Now defeated and disappointed, instead of staying the full 2 hours you left 30 minutes after arrival. If my experience resonates with you, welcome to “Each One Teach One.”
Our Goal
The purpose of this event is to connect individuals who are looking to move forward in their respective careers, from skilled tradesmen / tradeswomen, to entrepreneurs, to corporate professionals. This is a space in which we discuss challenges in our related professions and work collaboratively to come up with solutions, from personal or professional experiences or gained insight. This event is designed to support you as an individual, connect you with like-minded people, and build your personal network.
