This event is geared towards young people between 13-25.

During this intimate online workshop, we will use various art techniques and materials to express ourselves and confront our fears and anxieties. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting out, this workshop is open to all skill levels. Pierra will guide you through the process, providing support and encouragement along the way.

Embrace the Halloween spirit as we delve into the world of cobwebs and uncover what’s been stuck on our minds and what to do about it. Through art, you’ll explore the spooky themes impacting your mental health. All participants will provide their own art supplies. All you’ll need is some paper/construction paper and something to draw with (markers, colored pencils, crayons, paint, or watercolors). But feel free to bring all your supplies at hand!

About Pierra D. Brown:

Pierra is a Chicago-based artist and registered Art Therapist. In 2016 she received her Masters Degree in art therapy from the School of Art Institute. After graduating, she spent two years in a Chicago public school providing art therapy groups to 2nd-8th grade students.

Currently, Pierra works within the behavioral health system providing clinical art therapy to adults, adolescents, and children. In addition to providing clinical art therapy groups she organizes and facilitates non-clinical workshops for community organizations, colleges, and independently
