About this event
LGBTQ+ Leadership Circles
Starting a business or non-profit? Struggling to find peers or mentors to learn from? Interested in gathering best practices to become a more effective leader?
Comparing Notes is the home you’ve been waiting for.
Who You Are
An LGBTQ+ leader, manager, entrepreneur, or executive director. You are a problem solver who wants to make a meaningful difference. You care about ethics, and want to understand how to build or maintain a healthy organization.
What You Need
Thought partnership with other leaders. Space to be uncertain and deal with professional challenges with a person-centered approach. A values-aligned community where you can ask difficult questions, find resources, and get inspired!
What We Offer
A monthly virtual workshop and peer mentoring session. Each workshop happens on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 6 to 7:30pm.
The first half of each workshop focuses on relationship building and problem solving with peers. In small groups you can discuss your main concerns and receive feedback from other leaders. We do our best to match you with leaders in similar positions so you can learn from each other.
The second half offers the opportunity to share best practices, strategies and resources gleaned from The Care Plan facilitators. We close with a reflective centering before you move on with your day.
Who We Are
The Care Plan is a care management and organizational consulting company that is LGBTQ+ led. We started with 1 person, our founder Jacqueline Boyd, and 7 years later have a team of care managers and trainers dedicated to establishing cultures of care in both home and organizational settings.
During our own development, it was challenging to find business leaders and coaches that understood our deep community roots. Traditional business and non-profit practices so often leave leaders unsure about their decisions, and place profit and process above people.
In the past 7 years, we have supported innumerous businesses and nonprofits in learning how to effectively attend to the evolving needs of our communities. We believe in mentorship, in sharing resources, and in rising together as LGBTQ+ and BIPOC leaders. Comparing Notes is our chance to support you achieving your goals successfully – on your terms.
