Hello everyone!
On behalf of the annual student-run Coalition on Health Equity (CHEq) at the University of California, Davis, we are happy to announce that registration for the 2023 CHEq Conference is live! The conference is free, open to all community members, health professionals and students, and anyone else interested in learning more about health equity and social justice. The conference will be held virtually on Saturday, October 14th from 8:30am – 12:30pm over Zoom and will feature several speakers and workshops that you can attend virtually to learn more about health equity, social justice, and community empowerment. Attend the conference for your chance to win up to $1200 in raffle prizes!
You can sign up for the conference using the QR code on the flyer, or via tinyurl.com/CHEq2023. Additionally, the first 50 people to sign up will receive swag bags!
Our theme this year is “Empowering the Community Through Actionable Change”.
Our mission statement is as follows:
“The Coalition on Health Equity Conference aims to mobilize a diverse group of community leaders, in partnership with community members, to create innovative solutions that address current health equity issues. As we progress through a global health crisis, it is more important than ever to recognize how social and economic circumstances profoundly affect the way marginalized populations experience health and illness. By fostering awareness, advocacy, and collaboration, our mission is to unite our community around the common goal of improving health outcomes for all people.”
We hope this conference will allow our community members to find cohesion, support, and renewed relationships with health professionals and the legislature!
