CSTP is supporting East Valley candidates and candidates from other districts in an online cohort with state-trained national board facilitator, Mandy Fyhrie. Candidates must register and pay for facilitation by the first meeting date of a component. If you receive an OSPI National Board Conditional Loan, you must register by November 29, 2023 so that we can provide OSPI with proof of your registration in a state-approved cohort as per the conditions of that loan. Meet Your Facilitator, Mandy Fyhrie:
I’m a dedicated educator with over a decade of experience, currently teaching first grade after nine years in kindergarten. In 2017, I earned my National Board Certification in English Language Arts: Reading and Literacy for Early- to Middle-Childhood and am now working toward my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at Liberty University. Outside the classroom, I enjoy camping and baking—activities that provide a much-needed respite from my busy schedule. I’m even licensed to sell baked goods out of my home kitchen. I’m also a fan of “The Great British Baking Show,” which serves as my go-to for relaxation; you can’t get mad when it comes to baking and somehow the British always seem to make criticism sound so elegant. Though sleep feels more like a luxury these days, I still strive for a balanced life. I’m committed to lifelong learning, both for myself and the students I teach.
