We are looking for hands-on full-stack engineering team leads who are passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. The team lead plays a meaningful role in crafting and maintaining the strategic partnership between business needs and technology delivery within the construct of an Agile team. The role is to own an Agile team’s efforts to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient systems and solutions in support of our core organizational functions. In addition to managing members of an agile team, there is also an expectation to contribute to the codebase and deliver solutions against the sprint-level commitments.
+ Code contributing leader of an Agile team, working to deliver sprint goals, as well as conduct personnel duties for team (e.g., performance evaluations, hiring, promotions and disciplinary actions).
+ Design, document, and develop world-class enterprise applications leveraging the latest technologies and design patterns.
+ Provide strategic influence and exercise control over team resources, budget management and planning, while monitoring end results.
+ Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within your own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues.
+ Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards.
+ Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals.
+ Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources.
+ Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties, as necessary.
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
+ 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer/Developer
+ Experience mentoring and?providing?technical leadership for teams of 5?or?more developers
+ 5+ years ‘ experience of Microservices frameworks using Java, Python, or C#
+ 5+ years’ experience with software engineering best practices (unit testing, automation, design patterns, peer review, etc.).
+ 5+ years’ experience of Data Structures and Object Oriented Principles using Java, Python, or NodeJS
+ 5+ years architecture experience in building horizontally scalable, highly available, highly resilient, and low latency applications
+ 5+ years’ experience with Cloud-native development and Container Orchestration tools (Serverless, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.)
+ Exposure to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, either on-premise or public cloud (i.e., Tekton, Harness, CircleCI, Cloudbees Jenkins, etc.)
+ BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
+ Exposure to agile and iterative software delivery
+ Exposure to managing Cloud infrastructure both on-premise and public cloud (i.e., OpenShift, AWS, etc.).
+ Exposure to Cloud-native development and Container Orchestration tools (Serverless, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.).
+ Exposure to API Management tools.
+ Exposure to event-driven design and architecture (i.e., Kafka, Spark Flink, etc.).
+ Experience in technical leadership re-engineering monolithic applications into Microservices.
+ Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (i.e., Terraform, Cloudformation, etc.).
+ Exposure to Security, Observability, and Monitoring (i.e., Grafana Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.).
+ Exposure to Service Oriented and MicroServices architectures, including REST and GraphQL implementations.
+ Experience with database concepts and web-based technologies is a plus.
