POSITION SUMMARY:

Blue Acorn iCi is seeking a Shopify Frontend Engineer who will be responsible for providing quality solutions that meet development requirements in support of our eCommerce platform projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:┬а┬а

The Shopify Frontend Engineer is primarily responsible for producing quality, on-budget, and on-schedule solutions on projects. Responsibilities and duties include:

• Creatively solve complex problems
• Development on the front-end of the Shopify platform
• Develop custom extensions to be released as third-party add-ons
• Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Contribute to internal initiatives such as improving our development processes

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of professional experience in building websites or the front-end of web applications, including hands-on Shopify development
• Modern web development using JavaScript (Promises, Arrow Functions, Classes, etc.)
• Modern CSS and familiarity with SCSS
• Semantic HTML
• Experience with React.js
• Shopify Liquid (or other templating languages)
• Experience with APIs, REST and/or GraphQL
• Shopify Theme Development using Theme Kit, Slate, or other build tools
• Git Version Control (BitBucket or GitHub)
• Project Management tools (Jira)
• Strong ability to self-manage
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with team members and clients

The US average base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000 – $130,000 + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, but they are subject to change based on the following factors: role, experience level, education/certification, job-related skills, and working location. Please note that some states within the US have pay/hiring laws that may affect the salary range listed above.
