Mindbank Consulting Group has an immediate need for Senior Software Engineers with heavy Java 8 experience . These are long-term contract positions with a GREAT group of technologists doing important and exciting work in environmental conservation.

This position is hybrid, with two days per week onsite for Hadley, MA, Falls, Church, VA, and Madison, WI. Candidates for the Fort Collins, CO, position will only have to report onsite one day per week. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of these four locations – these are not remote positions.

Candidates must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents. Candidates for this position will undergo a background investigation for a Public Trust before starting work.

Developers will focus their expertise with the use of Java, Typescript or JavaScript, Spring, and React to modernize and transition 37 different interconnected modules, submodules, and web applications into one “data lake.” Candidates should be comfortable being a technical resource within a high-functioning, collaborative, cohesive group.

Candidates for this position must have at least eight years of paid, professional, and recent experience conducting software engineering/development within/using an Agile lifecycle, SCRUM sprints, or other rapid development cycles in a web-based environment. Candidates must have had increasingly responsible experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing Java EE applications. You are a true consultant in this role, so you’ll need to ask questions about and understand the business side of a project.

• Java, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, LESS, SASS (Must have strong Java 8+ experience)

• Frameworks: React (16+, Hooks)/ Angular, NodeJS, Spring, Groovy/Grails

• Testing Libraries: e.g. Jest, Selenium

• Transpiling in JavaScript / TypeScript, CSS Preprocessors

• Templating (Handlebars, GSP)

• Version controls: Git (GitHub, BitBucket, GitLab)

• Webpack, NPM

• REST or GraphQL

• Agile methodology and tracking (Scrum, Jira)

• Cloud technologies: Containers (Docker/Podman), Public cloud (GCP/AWS), Microservices

• Operating systems: Linux, Windows

• Other technologies utilized: Apache Kafka, Elastic Stack, Apache NiFi, GDB, Valgrind, Apache JMeter, Artifactory/Nexus, Nginx, HAProxy, Glowroot, Drupal 7
